With more than 13 years experience of manufacturing chair covers we have developed a standard basic design and construction which we use for all our standard chair covers.

Our Production Manager has a degree in mechanical engineering as well as having studied at the London College of Fashion so it's no surprise that our chair covers are not just elegant but also built for versatility, ease of use, and durability.

We specialise in the production of great value easy-care chair covers. Machine Washable. Non-Iron fabric. These come in 14 different standard sizes and styles to suit both square and round back chairs. We also custom make to your exact chair size at no extra cost.

A well constructed chair cover should be able to handle at least 120 laundry cycles and generate (or save you) over £250 of hire fees in it's life. The initial purchase cost of a chair cover is a tiny percentage of the amount it will earn or save you in fees over it's life and indeed the amount you will spend on it in laundry. So skimping on the initial purchase can be a false economy. We could make chair covers for a couple of pounds less and sell them cheaper but we don't. And the simple reason is we value our reputation as a quality manufacturer of professional hospitality and event linen products.

Very cheap chair covers cut corners by methods such as:

  • overlocking edges instead of properly hemming them
  • using a single panel for the back and seat instead of properly contoured panels which means a less sculpted look and risk of tearing.
  • having no pleats in the skirt front meaning sitters press their feet against a tight skirt quickly leading to shoe polish marking and tearing.
  • having no pleats in the skirt back which not only looks less elegant but also makes fitting less flexible and the cover more prene to damage.

We've seen many cases where these covers last a just a handful of hires and laundry cycles at best. The saving in the initial purchase can vanish within a few days of use.

The design of our standard model has been developed over 13 years of manufacturing chair covers and and incorporates many features designed to provide excellent durability with style. This protects your investment and quickly saves you money through reduced damage, and lower cost laundry costs. It also ensures you have a superior quality fitting cover.

Chair Cover Features & Benefits
FEATURE
BENEFIT
Single inverted box pleat at the front of the skirt

Sitters tend to put their heels under the seat. This pleat allows them do so without pressing against the fabric minimising shoe polish transfer, high heele holes, and other 'enemies' of chair covers.

It provides elegance and style.

Its more comfortable for the sitter.

A pair of outward box pleats covering the rear legs.

Elegance and style providing a crisp drape over the chair leg area.

Ease of fitting on a wide variety of chairs.

Skirt base fully hemmed and overlocked.

Having a proper hem at the base of the skirt allows it to hang better with a sharper edge and correct 'finished' look..

This is much more durable than simply overlocking.witout a hem as we've seen on a few low cost imports recently.

You wouldn't be seen in a skirt or trousers that just had the bottom overlocked instead of hemmed. It's looks nasty on a chair cover too.

Double stitching and overlocking on all critical joins in key stress areas.

Extra re-enforcement where it's most needed. A stitch in time etc etc.

More than double the life and financial return for your chair covers. It adds about 20p to the cost. Easty maths.

Seperate panels for the back of the chair and the chair seat.

Provides a much more fitted look than single piece construction.

Quicker fitting of the chair covers.

Makes fitting sashes easier and reduces strain on sashes when guests slump during the speeches.

Bi-stretch type fabric construction.

Having a bit of 'give' built into the weave construction offers the following benefits:

Reduces strain on seams by distributing tension over a wider area.

Speed and ease of fitting on a wider range of chairs.

Crease resistance and rapid crease 'drop out' when fitted.
